Hello and welcome to the 2023/2024 U10 RAMS season!

My name is Ryan Rogers, and I am thrilled to have been named this year's U10 RAMS competitive "B" Head Coach. Firstly, I would like to welcome you all to competitive hockey, and the tryout process, as this is the first opportunity for the 2014 born players to experience a competitive hockey environment, within the Stittsville RAMS association. This season will follow Hockey Canada's Pathways program, with a focus on team/ skill development, in a fun and safe environment. I encourage all 2014 born players with a desire to play competitive hockey to attend the conditioning sessions and tryout for the team. Our competitive executive does an amazing job keeping everyone up to date with registration and tryout details; please check the website and social media posts regularly for all the details.

The goal of our tryouts will be to assess the skills, abilities, and potential of players to ultimately assemble a competitive and cohesive team that can perform at its best during the upcoming season and tournaments. The association ensures that the tryout process is as fair and unbiased as possible. All players registered to tryout will have equal opportunity to make the team and the association mandates that the players be evaluated by independent parties. As head coach I am looking for skilled players that have a love for the game, a drive to develop, a competitive spirit and a desire to be a part of a team both on and off the ice.

I am fully committed to this team, and I expect that the players, and their families, show the same commitment. The team will be together 3-5 days per week; whether it be a game, practice, off-ice, or specific skill development, these events will require mandatory attendance. This season on-ice sessions will consist of Ottawa B League games, practices, Perfect Skating/ goalie training, and 4 tournaments. All 4 of these tournaments will be multi day tournaments and the 2 out of district tournaments will require hotel stays of 3 nights. The details are as follows:

1. Belleville Mid-Season Tilt
Date: November 3 - 5, 2023
Location: Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre

2. 18th Annual Capital Mid-Season Showdown Presented by RAMS
Date: November 24 – 26, 2023

Location: Bell Sensplex

3. Bell Capital Cup
Date: December 27, 2023 - January 1, 2024
Location: Ottawa

4. Spring Thaw
Date: April 4 – 7, 2024
Location: Ajax-Pickering

Off the ice we will be involved with charitable activities to give back to the great community of Stittsville and fundraising to offset some of the cost of what will be an amazing year. I know the commitment is large, but I truly believe that it will pay off, the players will have fun, develop, learn and grow as both athletes and members of the community.

I look forward to meeting you all at the rink!

Ryan Rogers
