SMHA Goalie Clinics

The Association is short of goalies and would like to encourage goalies and provide a forum to enhance their skills.  We have had a great response to previous goalie clinics and have created a new series of clinics for this hockey season.

The second series of goalie clinics will start Sunday, November 4, 2012.  They will be held on Sunday afternoons between 3:00 and 5:00 pm at the CGD facility, 145 Iber Road.   CGD has developed a levelled program for their training sessions at the Centre and this will be the model for this clinic.   There is a maximum of twenty-four goalies allowed in the clinic.   Each hour will have 12 goalies maximum on the ice.   Each goalie will be assigned either 3 pm or 4 pm for one hour of training based on the goalies level to ensure balanced sessions. Cost for the 6 week clinic is $180 tax included and will have only CGD staff on the ice.  Online registration will open on Monday, October 23, 2012.  To register please click on this link:

 If you wish to withdraw from the event, you must notify us a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the event.  If you do so, a full refund less a $10 administration fee will apply.  No refund will be given for cancellations received less than 72 hours prior to the start of the event.  Please note that for goalie clinics, cancellations may only be made in advance of the first session.  After the six week session begins, there will be no refunds provided.  Please check your schedules as we are unable to schedule any replacements for missed sessions.

A separate IP goalie session is planned for January as well to encourage first-time goalies who are interested in becoming a goalie at the Novice level in the next season.  Further details on those sessions will be released shortly.
