After 4 hard battles including an overtime win against Iqaluit the Stittsville Peewee C Titans win the Roger's house tournament. What an awesome way to end the year.
For the Peewee C Titans, the Roger's House Year End Tournament started out with a bang with a dominating win over the West End Gladiators. Game 2 saw the Titans face the Carleton Place Kings from their regular league play. Coming from behind, victory was achieved through hard work and tenacity including a short-handed goal by Carter Rennick. Next, it was on to face the Iqaluit Blizzards. With continuous back and forth play, the game ended in a 1-1 tie and into sudden death overtime the Titans went again. A couple of close calls and excellent saves by the Titans goaltender Jamie Dionne allowed Ashton Hoare to feed Kierin Robinson to end the overtime on a breakaway. The South End Sharp Shooters were next in line. Battling fatigue, the Titans pushed hard to achieve a 2-1 victory through a short-handed goal scored by Tyler Jordan late in the third period.
All of the Titans players should be proud of themselves for their hard work and team play.
